Blackjack Rule Basics
The purpose of any blackjack gamer according to the Blackjack Rule is to finish with a higher hand total than the dealer’s total not going over 21. In all the Blackjack game versions, the card values are the same: all the cards from 2 to 10 are counted as numbered, all the picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) have the value of 10 points, and an Ace can be counted as either 1 or 11 depending on what will make the player/dealer hand less likely to win. A hand that goes over the total of 21 according to the Blackjack Rule is said to Bust and loses automatically. In Blackjack Rule, the gambler’s hand is compared only against the hand of a dealer, which means other player hands are unnecessary.
The cards are dealt
As all the gamblers have finished their bets, the dealer deals cards. Any gamer is dealt 2 cards facing up and the croupier places 2 cards, first up and the second down. As soon as all the players have received their cards, the dealer goes from one gamer to another so that each player can decide on how does he or she decides to gamble his or her hand.
The player solutions in Blackjack Rule comprise:
Surrendering option lets the player forfeit his hand and get back 1/2 of his original bet.
Hit option is asking for one more card.
Stand option is asking for no cards.
Doubling Down option means doubling a bet and asking for simply a single card.
Split option is having splitting the hand into 2 separate hands and doubling the initial bet. This solution is allowed by Blackjack Rule only once the original 2 cards are of the same value.
Insurance option is an option offered to the gamblers in case the croupier up card is an Ace. An insurance wager pays out 2 to 1 and regularly counts as 0.5 of the original bet. In case the croupier has a Blackjack, the gamer according to the Blackjack Rule loses the original wager, but receives the insurance bet and the pay out back.
When all the gamers have made up their mind, the dealer gambles his hand. The dealer reveals the face down card (also called the hole) and chooses whether to ask for another card or ask for no more cards, as all the rest decisions are just for gamblers. The dealer acts only conforming to the casino Blackjack Rule, it is forbidden that dealer acts on his own. All croupiers must ask for more cards until the value of their hand is 17 or higher than 17. From time to time the Blackjack Rule and regulations differ according to the hand is soft or hard 17 (with or without an Ace), but the original rule mentions all 17s.
The Blackjack Rule: Natural, and Blackjack
The hand value 21 in the first two cards (a 10-valued card and an Ace) is called a Blackjack otherwise a Natural. This is the strongest hand and pays out 3 to 2 unless dealer’s hand is also a Natural, which means the hands Push (the wagers are returned in full). Another important thing is that in case your first two cards were a pair of Aces and you have opted to split, and one of player following cards is a ten-valued one, this hand is not viewed as a Natural, but simply a hand combination with a total of 21.
